All the activities of Domaine de Fonteyrol


By booking your stays at the Domaine de Fonteyrol, you will benefit from all the facilities that your hosts have made available to you in the vast 3-hectare park. Children and adults can spend pleasant moments on the multisports ground (handball, basketball, badminton and tennis) or around a game of table tennis, we will lend you balls and rackets. A shaded bowling alley awaits you to enjoy before the aperitif. On the estate, you will also find a heated swimming pool, 10 meters by 5, which you will share with your hosts.

Our charming cottage is ideally located in the Drôme Provençale. To explore this beautiful region, hiking, mountain biking and the ViaRhôna pass near our cottage. We know our region perfectly and can advise you on the best routes.

For music and art lovers


All year round, and more especially in summer, Drôme Provençale wakes up to the rhythm of festivals and musical events. Do not miss these events such as the ALUNA Festival which brings together the greatest singers of the moment, the Agglo Festival in Montélimar during the first week of July, Jazz in Vienne, Saoû chante Mozart and Perfume of jazz in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux. .

Other events are also unmissable in the area, such as the Festival de la Correspondance in Grignan , the Festival d'Alba du cirque, the Oasis bizz'art Festival in Dieulefit and Rock on the l'Oule in La Motte-de-Chalancon. .

In summer, if you are traveling with your children, we advise you to go to the various water parks (Domaine Sagittaire in Vinsobres and Exoloisirs in Lamotte du Rhône) or to natural swimming sites (Chute de la Druise in Saillans and in the Roanne Valley). For a fun visit, don't miss the Crocodile Farm and Upie Zoo . For a dip in the history of the region, discover the famous castles of the Drôme in Grignan, Montélimar and Suze-la-Rousse. And finally, for gourmet moments with the family, go to the Palais du Bonbon in Montélimar and the Haribo Museum in Uzès .

The Drôme is renowned for its exceptional wines. So, to learn more about Drôme wine, we suggest a wine route that will take you through the international university of Suze-la-Rousse, the Cave de Tain and the Maison Delas estate. The region is also known for the Black Truffle, go to the Richerenches market, from mid-November to mid-March, to discover the “Black Diamond”. To taste the local gastronomy and refined cuisine, Drôme has seven starred restaurants ( Le Clair de Plume in Grignan, Le Kléber in Crest, etc.), with the promise of a journey for your senses.

For gourmets


For a dip in the local culture, we advise you to go to the Provençal markets: La Touche on Thursday, Montélimar on Saturday, Grignan on Tuesday, Dieulefit on Friday, Nyons on Thursday and Buis-les-Baronnies on Wednesday. You may have the chance to taste the specialties of the region such as the olive of Nyons, the nougat of Montélimar and the picodon of Dieulefit, celebrated every year during the Fête du Picodon. And finally, we advise you to visit the Cité du Chocolat Valrhona in Tain-L'hermitage. Good to know: for all your meals, a charming restaurant has just opened its doors in Rochefort-en-Valdaine.

For nature lovers


A few kilometers from our charming cottage, go to the Baronnies Regional Natural Park where you will be filled with emotion in the heart of nature. We advise you that too little to climb Mont Ventoux, by bike, on foot or by motorbike. From mid-June to the end of July, the landscapes of Drôme Provençale dress in purple, discover the beauty of the lavender fields by traveling the lavender route. To get as close as possible to nature, visit the remarkable caves of the Ardèche such as the Chauvet cave in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, the Aven d'Orgnac , the city of Prehistory and the Saint Marcel cave .

To enhance your afternoons with sensations, a few kilometers from our family cottage in Drôme Provençale, you will find the Mistral Kart in Montélimar. If you like to climb in the trees, two tree climbing courses are less than 20 kilometers from our lodging: Vert Tige Aventure in Roussas and La Forêt de Robin in Marsanne. With family or friends, complete your stay in the Drôme Provençale, by filling up on the thrill of the region's white water, by canoe-kayak or canyoning: go down the Drôme from Saillans or downhill of the Ardèche gorges from Vallon-Pont-D'Arc.

For history buffs


The surrounding villages and towns are full of monuments and historical sites. Among the most beautiful villages in France, visit Le Poët-Laval and its Old Village, La Garde-Adhémar with its famous Jardin des Herbes, Saint-Montan and its castle, Balazuc with its charming alleys and calades, but also Montbrun-les -Bains and its spa.
